What are Mana Credits?

Mana Credits are the currency used in Grimoire to access premium AI models. 1 Mana Credit equals $1 of model usage, so there is no conversion math involved. When you use a paid model, the actual token cost is deducted from your balance. For example, if a request to GPT-5.2 costs $0.035 in tokens, exactly 0.035 credits are deducted. You can view the cost per model in your dashboard.

How does the Free plan work?

The Free plan gives you permanent access to all free-tier AI models with up to 50 requests per day. No credit card required, no time limit. When you hit the daily limit, requests reset after 24 hours. Want more? Purchase Mana Credits starting at $10 to unlock all paid models and increase your rate limit.

How does BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) work?

With BYOK, you connect your own API keys from providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google and use them directly through Grimoire. On the Pay As You Go plan, your first 1 million requests per month are included at no extra cost. On Enterprise, that threshold goes up to 5 million. Beyond that, each additional request is charged from your Mana Credits at the provider's actual token cost.

Do Mana Credits expire?

Each deposit of Mana Credits is valid for 365 days from the purchase date. When you buy credits, they go into a bucket with its own expiration. If those credits are not fully used within that window, the remaining balance in that bucket is forfeited. Credits are always consumed from the oldest bucket first, so earlier purchases get used before newer ones. We send email reminders before any bucket expires.

What happens when I run out of Mana Credits?

You can still use free-tier models within your daily rate limit. To continue using paid models, simply purchase more credits starting at $10. We send email notifications when your balance is running low so you are never caught off guard.

Can I switch plans?

Yes. When you purchase Mana Credits, you automatically get access to all paid models and higher rate limits. If you stop purchasing, your remaining credits stay in your account until they expire. You can always use free-tier models. Enterprise customers should contact their account manager for plan changes.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) processed securely through Stripe. Enterprise customers can also arrange invoice-based billing and bank transfers. All transactions are encrypted end-to-end.
